Translation tips/ translators' qualification classification:

A. Beginning translators

With a certificate of CET-4 or CET-6, or a certificate of TEM-8, they can work on translation. They are able to do the translation work in a way that the meaning of the original being generally expressed yet with some grammar or sentence mistakes.

B. Junior translators

With a certificate of CET-4 or CET-6, or a certificate of TEM-8, 3 to 5 years translating experience, they can understand translation theory and practice and have got more translation skills, as well as been familiar with language application. There will not be errors in the translation work except for some small defect in details.

C. Senior professional translators/Ten-year-or-more experience and a significant understanding in translation with a rich knowledge in different areas and languages, as a result, the translation work they do will be correct, exact, brief as well as fluent.

Qualifications of our translators: 8-15 years of foreign language study, over 5 years of working as translators/foreign language teaching experiences, with certificate of TEM-8, or CATTI Japanese level 2, or with BA, MA, or Doctorial degrees. Some of the translators have the experiences of studying and working in foreign countries. Some are professional translators at state level.

Notes:

The price for translation can be divided into express translation prices, common translation prices and perusal translation price.

The express translation prices=common translation prices –80RMB; Perusal translation prices=common translation prices+100RMB

The express prices are suitable for those companies with limited budget in translation and a lot of documents to be translated. We will help you do the most work with least money.

The common translation prices are suitable for those clients who care for the perfect combination of quality and price.

Perusal translation prices are suitable for those clients who pay more attention to superb quality.

Documents are counted by Chinese words (words counting in tool menu of Microsoft Word.). Those less than 1000-word long will be treated as ones with 1000 words. The speed of professional translators is 3000-4000 words a day.

The fee and time for translation are negotiable for long-term clients and clients with special requirements in specialties.

Certificates will be charged by pieces: 100Yuan/piece for the ones from English to Chinese, and 120Yuan/piece, from Chinese to English. The fee for other language translation is negotiable.

A printed file and floppy disk will be provided free. Exhaustive specialty vocabulary base will be set up for those long-term clients and large-amount clients.

Common documents: business correspondence, paperwork for overseas study, consultation, training materials, personal letters, resume, personnel matter and documents for travel and business abroad.

Technical documents: mechanism, architecture, medicine, chemical industry, textile industry, electronics, software industry, finance, advertisement, news report, literature, technical regulations, operation instructions, install manual, etc.

Laws and contracts: contract, regulation, bid, quality manual, visa, financial budget, office correspondence, notarization, judgment, etc.

Interpretation (unit: RMB/person/day; time: 9AM-5PM)

Note:

1. The minimum unit for personal interpretation and alternative interpretation is four hours. The minimum unit for simultaneous interpretation is eight hours, and two interpreters are needed per hour.

2. The final fee for the interpretation of the above price range is negotiable according to the difficulty degree if the subject matter by the two parties involved. The fee will be raised 30% if errands to other cities are needed. The client needs to pay for all the travel, accommodation expenses and make sure the safety of our interpreter s . The fee for the languages other than English and Japanese are different and they are negotiable.

Categories of interpretations: accompanied visit, business negotiation, exhibition, press release, conferences, opening ceremony of a business, technology exchange seminar, recording, simultaneous interpretations, etc.

Fee for monthly-based translation work: (English/Japanese/Korean)

If the length is 1500 words or less, the fee will be 300Yuan per month; if the length is above 1500 words; extra fee should be paid at the price of 200Yuan/thousand words.

(German/French/Russian)

If the length is 1500 words or less, the fee will be 380Yuan per month; if the length is above 1500 words, extra 260Yuan for every thousand words.

(Other languages)

If the length is1500 words or less, the fee will be 450Yuan per month; if more, it will be 300Yuan/thousand words in additional.

Localization or internationalization of websites:

The fee for localization of websites: 30-100Yuan/webpage. A web page refers to a HTNL/ASP/PHP or similar document. The fee for word part is the same as that for regular documents; the picture is free of charge unless the clients have special requirements.

The charge standard for foreign video materials translation:

800Yuan/hour (it is charged as one hour if the material lasts from 30 minutes to one hour; 400Yuan/30 min is the fee for materials less than 30 minutes; if dub and title are needed, the fee is 1800Yuan/30 min). The fee for translating according to sound materials is the same as that of regular translation.

The charge standard for advertisements & publicity and films translating: 100Yuan/min.

The charge standard for English small pieces:

1. 100Yuan/piece (degree certificate, diploma, school report card (word), ID, Driver's License, Passport, Notarial Deed, Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate, Birth Certificate, Residential Testify, Business License, Single Testify, Invitation, Vaccinate Card, etc.)

2. 180Yuan/piece ( Canada immigrant paper, American IAP-66, I-20 Form, I-134Form, school report card (table))

3. Others: 50Yuan/entry for seal, 25Yuan/A4/piece for English typing; 70Yuan/A4/piece for other language typing.

Note:

The fee for the above certificates is for single piece of paper (the front and the back). If the length is increased, the fee is different. The charge standard is only for English. It is different for other languages.
